Bernd has been a scientist and pharma executive for over 30 years. For the last 15 years, he has successfully worked with pharmaceutical companies and biotech start-ups acting as CEO (GPC Biotech, Opsona Therapeutics), director or chairman of the board (Altana Pharma, Agennix, Cytovia, Santhera, BioXell and several others).

Bernd holds an M.D. from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University and a Ph.D. (summa cum laude) from the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry Munich, Germany and has published over 100 scientific paper.
